Sometimes you move to a foreign land for a bit.
Throw yourself in the deep end.
See what happens.
And sometimes, when you are in that foreign land, someone familiar comes to visit.
At least that’s what happened to me. I was living in Vancouver this summer when Krista popped in to run a half marathon (that’s 21km… crazy, right?) and asked me to take some headshots for her while she was in town. It had been far too long since Krista and I’s last encounter so needless to say, we had a blast. We walked along the ocean chatting, laughing and of course, taking photos, starting at Science World and finishing up at Granville Island where we grabbed a couple beers from the Granville Island Brewery.
It was perfection.
And it’s these moments that I love the most. The ones when work and play collide. Because it’s in these moments that true magic happens…
